Document Checklist
Valid Passport
At least 18 months before expiry.
Medical Certificate
From an approved GAMCA / medical centre.
Police Clearance
Certificate of good conduct.
Signed Contract
Read every clause before signing.
Local Government Letter
Introduction letter from your ward/district.
Vaccination Records
Yellow fever and any required vaccines.
Know Your Rights
- Your employer must hold a valid work contract in your name.
- You keep your own passport — never surrender it permanently.
- Your salary, hours, and rest days are as written in the contract.
- You are entitled to accommodation and medical cover where stated.
- Recruitment fees charged to workers are illegal — report them.
- You may contact the Tanzanian embassy in your host country any time.
Staying Safe
- Keep digital + paper copies of your passport and contract.
- Share your employer's address with your next of kin.
- Save the embassy and Easyway emergency contacts on your phone.
- Never pay anyone who "guarantees" a visa or job for cash.
- If something feels wrong, report it to us immediately.
